Abigail Hoy

Abigail lives in Gaithersburg, but is a junior at Poolesville High School. Her extensive volunteer experience at community service organizations like Linkages to Learning, Shepard Pratt, and Girl Scouts, her experience working for the City of Gaithersburg Division of Youth Services, and her leadership experience as President of the Peacemakers and Problem Solvers club has made her recognize the importance of uplifting underprivileged voices. Having attended school across different clusters, she is conscious of the opportunity gaps and inequity that depend on a student’s zip code and how valuable Faith’s experience being a student across different areas of the county is in her campaign to be SMOB. She is excited to support Faith's platform of better representation for the DCC and other underrepresented areas and improved school lunch programs.
